I went to Waya Lailai, at the south end of the Yasawa chain of islands. These are leeward of the main island of Fiji, which is called Viti Levu. Levu means "large" and lailai means "small."
Waya Levu from Waya Lailai. The sand bar between them is exposed at low tide.
This is a tourist boat, seen from that sand bar.
The beach of the village on Waya Lailai.
A cottage in the village.
The tourist resort on the south side of Waya Lailai. The actual village used to be here, but it was destroyed by a landslide.
